Happy Campers!

Camp SignSeveral of our Urban Escape team members headed to Sky High Hope Camp (a camp for children with cancer and their siblings) to volunteer their time and services.
Corey Dodge went to camp on Tuesday of camp week to provide chair massages to the counselors and various volunteers.  Adrienne Ireland, Jennifer Tichelbaut and Leeanna Clark arrived on Thursday to do have lunch with the campers and do makeup applications on a group of girls for their camp dance that night.  Everyone from Urban Escape that volunteered at Sky High Hope Camp left with lots of fun memories and many new friends.  We can't wait to go again next year! 
Thank you to everyone that helped us raise money for Sky High Hope Camp by coming in for our Wine Country Escape.  We donated 10% of all of our Wine Country Escapes to the Sky High Hope Camp and were able to sponsor several scholarships.  We will continue to donate 10% of each Wine Country Escape in order to contribute to next year's camp.
Mother's Day 2009

Volunteers from Urban Escape Day Spa, along with the support of our vendors and various downtown Golden merchants, worked to make this past Mother's Day a truly special one!

Urban Escape staff loaded up the spa and headed off to the Ronald McDonald House to provide mini spa services and to deliver gift bags full of donated items from our friends and business partners.   What better gift could a mother with a sick child receive than the gift of love and relaxation? 
Many of the mothers staying at the house have been through such difficult times and their only thoughts have been for their children.  
 
Thanks to the generosity of many of our vendors and suppliers like Golden's own Bath Nation,  Evergreen Candleworks, Sanitas Skin Care, and many others we were able to give gift bags with various products to each of the mothers valued at more than $400.00!   We want to thank all of our partners and suppliers for their kind gifts.

Urban Escape Day Spa was recently featured in the business section of the Golden Transcript news paper.  The Transcript ran a full page article on how the idea for our day spa in Golden came about, what makes Urban Escape different, and about the wonderful community welcome we've received since opening our doors.
